Race for Life in aid of Cancer Research

Sister Maureen McKnight took part again (fifth time) in the UK Cancer Research's '5K RACE FOR LIFE' at the beginning of June in Southport.
Maureen walked/jogged the 5K alongside over 700 women, a few children and some brave men!
The Race is to raise funds for Cancer Research and everyone who takes part either knows someone who is living with or has died from cancer. Some of the stories are very moving, (written on labels on the back of t-shirts of the racers.)
The atmosphere is very positive and cheerful. It is inspiring and humbling to be in this race with other wonderful women.
Maureen finished in 49 minutes, a personal best!
